Explore untold universes

Do you wish to explore untold universes and sail across the stars of imagination? The writings of Neil Gaiman provide such an escape. The stories told by this famed contemporary author tend to be fantastical and unusually nihilistic at the same time. During his career, he has written many novels and comics, and, while most everything he’s created is well worth a read, there are a few highlights among them. The Sandman, Coraline, and Stardust, are likely his most impressive works to date.

The Sandman

The SandmanThe Sandman, a 75 issue comic series, is quite difficult for some to get into, as the themes presented are very dark. Though the series started off as a horror, it changed into something so much more and finished with one of the best endings I’ve ever read. Coraline is another wonderful novella by Gaiman that mixes fantasy with horror. The resulting story of a young girl fleeting between two worlds and trying to find a place to belong is a riveting tale. Stardust is a coming-of-age story set in the town of Wall. The compelling story and beautiful romance are just two of the reasons why this novel is regarded by many as Neil Gaiman’s finest.
